Located in Raja Garden (New Delhi), Shivaji College is among the constituent colleges of the University of Delhi (also referred to as Delhi University or DU). Various undergraduate as well as post graduate courses are offered in humanities, commerce and science stream by the co-educational institution. Apart from conventional courses, the Department of Economics of the college also offers Vocational course in Foreign Trade Practices & Procedure. The college, which is functional under the trusteeship of Delhi Administration, came into existence in 1961.
