GITAM University UGTP Admission Test (GAT UGTP) is an entrance exam conducted for admissions to technological and pharmacy programs, at under-graduate level.

GITAM Admission Test (GAT) UGTP is conducted by GITAM University. It is an online test meant for admissions to technological courses at under-graduate program. Located in Vishakhapatnam, GITAM University is the first private university of Andhra Pradesh. It has been declared as deemed to be university under UGC act. The university came into existence in 1980. Currently, there are several institutes affiliated to it, which are catering to the educational needs of the aspirants in the field of Technology, Pharmacy, Science and Management.

Eligibility

The candidate needs to have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized State/Central Board, with at least 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in aggregate. In case of B.Tech in Biotechnology and B.Pharma, the applicant can have Biology as main subject in lieu of Mathematics. Only the applicants, who have passed higher secondary examination in the year of admission or a year before, are eligible for appearing in the exam.

Examination Pattern

The duration of GITAM GAT UGTP Entrance Exam is two hours. The test paper is divided into the following three sections.
Part I – includes 40 questions from Mathematics/Biology.
Part II- includes 30 questions fromPhysics.
Part III- includes 30 questions fromChemistry.

The exam paper in total will contain 100 objective type of questions, with multiple choices. The candidate will get 3 marks for every correct answer and 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. No marks will be given if the answer is not attempted.

GITAM GAT (UGTP) entrance exam consists of questions related to Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology of intermediate level.
