Annamalai University (AU) conducts All India Medical Entrance Exam (AIMEE), for admission to medical courses.

Annamalai University AIMEE

Annamalai University (AU), located in Annamalai Nagar in Tamil Nadu, offers various medical courses at undergraduate and post graduate levels. Established in 1929, the university conducts various entrance exams every year, to enroll students to various courses. All India Medical Entrance Exam (AIMEE) is one such entrance examination held every year, by the university. AU AIMEE is conducted for those students, who wish to get admission in medical programs offered by the University. The final selection consists of performance in previous qualifying examination, marks in the entrance test and personal interview of the selected candidates.

Eligibility

To appear in Annamalai University All India Medical Entrance Exam, the candidates should have passed higher secondary or equivalent qualifying examination, from a recognized Board. Those, who are ready to appear in higher secondary or equivalent examination, are also eligible for appearing in AU AIMEE.

The examination is based on two parts

Biology (Botany and Zoology)
Physical and chemistry

Syllabus

The syllabus and text books for the second year of the academic course of Higher Secondary Certificate (H.Sc) in Tamil Nadu are same as the pattern followed by AU AIMEE.
