CEPT PAT Exam is conducted for admitting students to course offered by Centre for Environmental Planning Technology.

CEPT PAT

Centre for Environmental Planning Technology (CEPT) conducts an entrance test every year, for admissions to various postgraduate courses offered by it. The entrance test is called Planning Admission Test, popularly known as CEPT Pat Exam. Candidates, who have qualified Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering (GATE) score are also given preference during admission. Others, who haven’t qualified GATE, should compulsorily take CEPT PAT, for getting admission to the aforementioned courses, offered by the University.

Eligibility

Candidates applying for admission to M Tech (Urban Planning and Housing) should have done graduation in Architecture/Civil Engineering/Planning or post graduation in Geography/Economics/Sociology, with at least 50% (45% for SC/ST candidates) marks in aggregate, from a recognized University. For admission to M Tech (Environmental Planning and Infrastructure Planning), the aspirants should be graduates in Architecture/Civil Engineering or Planning with at least 50% (45% for SC/ST) marks in aggregate, from a recognized University.

Examination Pattern

As part of the entrance exam, a written test is conducted for half an hour. This is followed by group discussion, in which candidates are given three to four topics to choose from, to discuss it with fellow candidates. This is followed by a personal interview. Students having qualifying GATE score are also required to appear in the written test, group discussion and personal interview. However, they are given 10% extra weightage while making the final selection.
