National Institute of Technology Hamirpur conducts the Himachal Pradesh Combined Pre Entrance Test, known as Himachal Pradesh CPET. HP CPET is conducted for admission into the four year bachelor's degree in B Tech.

Eligibility

The candidates must have passed their Higher Secondary Examination or equivalent examination from a recognized board/university with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English. Candidates applying under the Payment/NRI seats must have obtained a minimum of 60% marks in the qualifying exam.

Examination Pattern

HP CPET exam comprises of objective type multiple choices questions which are asked from the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English.

As for the reservation of seats, it is SC- 15%, ST-7.5%, diploma holders 2 seats and teachers of Government Polytechnics situated in Himachal Pradesh 2 seats.
