Mahatma Gandhi Medical College and Research Institute is a well known institute that offers quality education in the beautiful & serene territory of Pondicherry. A common entrance test, known as CETMGMCRI, is conducted by Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth University, the affiliating university of the institute, for admissions into the medical courses conducted by the college. CETMGMCRI usually takes place in the month of May or June. The applicant should secure above 50% marks in the Common Entrance Test, to be eligible for seeking admission.
Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)
Candidate for admission to the first year MBBS Degree course should have passed the senior secondary examination conducted by Board of Higher Secondary Examination of Tamil Nadu or any other equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (40% marks for SC/OBC). Candidate should have English as one of the subjects along with Biology (Botany & Zoology) / Physics / Chemistry. The applicant should have completed 17 years of age before 31st December on the year of admission.
The examination consists of two papers. Paper one consists of questions asked from Physics and Chemistry, while the other one has questions related to Botany & Zoology.
Questions are asked from Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology of the 10+2 level.
