Combined Medical Services Exam 2011 Dates



Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the Combined Medical Services Examination, prominently known as UPSC CMS Exam, for recruiting human resource for selected posts available in the medical field in some particular government organizations. The posts and organizations include the post of Assistant Divisional Medical Officers in the Railways. The exam is also conducted for the Junior Scale Posts in Indian Ordnance Factories Health Service and Central Health Services.
 
Candidates aspire to become the Medical Officers in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi are also required to appear for the test. Aspirants who want to work as General Duty Medical Officers in NDMC also need to qualify in the test with good merits. However, final selection of the candidates will be made on the basis of merits of the test followed by a Personality Test. UPSC holds the Combined Medical Services Examination once a year i.e. in January. The commission will issue the notification regarding the same in August (tentative). In 2011, the UPSC CMS Exam was held on January 16, 2011.
