Located in the south campus of Delhi University, Gargi College offers degree programmes in Arts, commerce, science and humanities stream. The college also offers some add-on courses like education for peace building, education for special children, historical tourism, theatre workshop, professional ethics etc. One of the most prestigious colleges functioning under the affiliation of Delhi University, Gargi College was established in 1967. It is a college for women and is spread over an area of 9.198 acres of land. The college is equipped with all state-of-the-art facilities and modern infrastructure.
The college is named after the great women sage “Gargi”, who was known for her wisdom and knowledge, has achieved milestones by being awarded “college with potential for excellence” by the UGC (University Grants Commission) in 2004. The college has also been awarded with Star College Award in 2009 by the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology.

Candidates should have passed the B.Sc examination from a recognized University.

Admission Procedure:
Undergraduate:
Admissions to the above mentioned courses are based on the merit secured in the qualifying exam and the availability of seats. Admissions to the above mentioned courses are done strictly as per the University guidelines and norms.
Post Graduate:
Master of Science (M.Sc) in chemistry
50% of the seats in M.Sc are filled on the basis of marks secured in B.Sc (Hons) exam (no entrance test), whereas the candidates having B.Sc (pass) degree are required to appear in the entrance exam.
Master of Arts (M.A) in Political science
Admission to this course is done on the basis of merit secured in entrance exam conducted by the University.
Master of English
Candidates who have secured 60% or more marks in B.A ( English) Hons are exempted from taking the entrance test, rest all candidates are required to take the entrance test conducted by the University.
