Vardhaman College of Engineering, established in 1999, under the governance and guidance of Vardhaman Educational Society is one of the preferred institutes among the determined candidates. The Engineering College is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad, and has gained the approval of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. The college, located in Shamshabad in Hyderabad (Andhra Pradesh) offers technical education at undergraduate as well as at postgraduate level along with Master of Computer Applications (MCA) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) course. Four of the branches of Engineering, namely, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science and Engineering, and Electronics and Communication Engineering are accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). Eligibility:
Undergraduate:
A pass in the Intermediate (10 + 2) conducted by the board of Intermediate education, Government of Andhra Pradesh or any other recognized Board with Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics as subjects of study. Diploma holders from a recognized institution are eligible to apply under lateral entry scheme.
Post Graduate:
M. Tech
Candidate must have done B.E / B. Tech in related subjects from a recognized University.
MCA/MBA
Graduates in any disciplines can apply. However, for MCA, study of mathematics at 10+2 or at graduation level is quite essential.
Admission Procedure:
Undergraduate:
Enrolment is done in undergraduate courses through the scores obtained by the candidate in EAMCET, a common entrance test conducted by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. 75% of the seats are earmarked for the merit students based on their rank in test while 25% of the seats are filled by the college management. Admissions under lateral entry scheme are based on ECET ranking.
