Shyam Lal College (Evening), located in Shahdara, near welcome metro station, is among the preferred options to acquire education in humanities and commerce stream, for the students doing part-time or full-time job. The foundation stone of the co-educational college, affiliated to University of Delhi, was laid down by the then President Dr. Zakir Hussain, in 1964. In 1969, the college developed itself as full-fledged evening college. Some of the well-qualified and skilled lectures have been hired by the governing authorities of the college, with the objective of imparting high standards of education to its students. Currently, Shyam Lal College (Evening) is working under the sponsorship of Shyam Lal Charitable Trust.
