Osmania Medical College Hyderabad (Andhra Pradesh) is one of the oldest medical colleges in India.
Osmania Medical College was established in 1846 and is one of the oldest medical educational institutes in the world. Located in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, the college is presently affiliated to NTR University of Health Sciences, while it was previously affiliated to the Osmania University of Hyderabad. The college is also recognized by Medical Council of India.
Osmania Medical College Hyderabad is the only educational institution in India (and possibly the world), where every medical specialty has a separate training hospital. It is also the lone medical college in south India to offer a postgraduate course in Endocrinology. Initially, the college was called the Nizam’s Medical School in 1846. Later in 1920, the medical school was transformed into a medical college.

MDEligibility:
Undergraduate:The candidate should have passed (10+2) or equivalent education with Botany, Zoology, Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects, from a recognized Board. Depending on the rank obtained in the natural science section of the common entrance test [EAMCET], the NTR University of Health Sciences.
Post Graduate Diploma:The candidate applying for the course should have finished MBBS from any recognized medical college in India or any equivalent medical degree that is recognized by MCI.
Post Graduate:The candidates should have completed MBBS degree from any MCI (Medical Council of India) recognized medical college in India or an equivalent foreign degree, which is recognized by the MCI.
Admission Procedure:
Undergraduate:The candidates will have to appear in a common entrance test (EAMCET), conducted by NTR University of Health Sciences. The candidates scoring suitably will be offered admission.
Entrance Test: EAMCET ExamPost Graduate:The candidate will have to appear in a common entrance test conducted by NTR University of Health Sciences.
Post Graduate Diploma:The applicant has to appear in a common entrance test conducted by NTR University of Health Sciences.
