MD (Pharmacology)



MD (Pharmacology) provides a three-year intensive study of drugs and how drugs interact within biological systems to affect functions of different organs of the human body. It deals with subjects like Clinical pharmacology, Neuropharmacology, Psychopharmacology, Pharmacogenetics, Pharmacogenomics, Pharmacoepidemiology, Toxicology, Theoretical Pharmacology, Posology, Pharmacognosy, Behavioral Pharmacology, and Environmental Pharmacology. Any MBBS graduate from a University recognized by Medical Council of India is eligible for MD (Pharmacology) course.
 
The candidates for MD (Pharmacology) are short listed on the basis of the merit in entrance examinations like All India Post Graduate Medical / Dental Entrance Examination. After the successful completion of MD (Pharmacology) course, these health professionals can work as clinical advisor in clinical trials or assist in faculty research programme and development.
