Aligarh College of Engineering & Technology, popularly referred to as ACET, is a renowned educational institution in North India. The college, established in 2001, imparts technical education in various disciplines, at different levels. It is affiliated to Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU), Lucknow. The courses offered by the college are approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.
Jawahar Vidyalaya Society, registered under Societies Registration Act XXI, is the promoter and founder of Aligarh College of Engineering. The Society established the institution, with a noble aim of promoting technical education in Aligarh, where facilities of higher education in engineering and management streams were reportedly inadequate. ACET has contributed a great deal in making Aligarh as a hub for higher education in India.

Eligibility:
Undergraduate:
The candidates should have passed Intermediate examination or equivalent (10+2) from any recognized Board with Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry/ Bio-technology/ Computer Science.
Diploma holders (3 years duration) in engineering with 60% marks/ B Sc with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with 60% are given admission direct in second year of B Tech courses.
Post Graduate:
MCA
A candidate must possess Bachelor Degree in any area with Mathematics as one of the subjects at Intermediate / 10+2 or graduation level.
MBA
The minimum qualification required is three year Bachelor degree in any discipline from any recognized university.

Admissions are held through Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination, UPSEE and All India Engineering Entrance Exam, AIEEE. 85% seats of total intake are filled through UPSEE. Remaining seats are covered under Management quota by allotting seats to the deserving candidates.

Post Graduate:

Admissions are conducted through UPSEE. The entrance exam is conducted for admission to UP Quota seats only.
