College of Engineering Perumon (Kollam), which functions under the aegis of Co-operative Academy of Professional Education, was established by the Government of Kerala. It has been granted the status of autonomous society. College of Engineering Perumon has all the necessary facilities and infrastructure for imparting higher level technical education.
College of Engineering Perumon is affiliated to the Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) and has the approval of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Government of India. The college conducts undergraduate level programme in the discipline of engineering - Bachelor of Technology (B Tech). The four-year full time programme is offered at par with the rules and regulations of the University.

Applicants who have done the intermediate with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as subjects or any other examination considered equivalent can apply.

Admission is granted on the rank secured by the candidate in the Common Entrance Test conducted every year by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala. 50% seats fall under Government Quota while 15% come in Management Quota. 15% seats are filled under NRI Quota. Engineering diploma holders can get directly into the third semester.
