The college was established in 2000 under the management of Sri Jagadguru Murugharajendra Vidyapeetha Trust, Chitradurga. The college is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Bangalore and recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI).
