Amrita Medical Entrance Exam

Amrita Medical Entrance Exam is conducted by Amrita University. The entrance test is held for admission to various undergraduate medical programs - MBBS, BDS, BAMS in Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS). For the final selection, the University (Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham) prepares a merit list, which is based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the entrance test. Amrita University, which is also known as Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, is managed and run by Mata Amritanandamayi Math. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has awarded the University with 'A' Grade.

Eligibility

The aspirants must have cleared 10+2 examination, with minimum 50% marks (40% for SC/ST) in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (and English), from any recognized state/national Board.

Examination Pattern

The questions in the entrance test are objective type. There are 200 questions in the entrance test, which consist of English and General Knowledge - 20, Physics - 40, Chemistry - 60, and Biology - 80. The candidates have to answer them within three hours.

Syllabus

The syllabus for the entrance test is based on the Physics, Chemistry and Biology of the 10+2 examination level.
