Geriatric Medicine is a branch of medical science, which deals with patients of a particular age group. Geriatric physician treats elderly people, although there is no particular age limit for a patient to qualify to consult a Geriatrician. Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Geriatric Medicine is a fulltime three-year post graduate degree course. The candidates with MBBS degree from a recognized institute who have registered permanently with Medical Council of India or any other State Medical Councils are eligible for this MD course.
