Shri Narayan Prasad Awasthi Govt. Ayurvedic College, also known as NPA Government Ayurvedic College, was established in 1948. The college is affiliated to Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur. The credit for the inception of the college goes to Late Shri Narayan Prasad Awasthi, who donated land for its establishment.
In 1955, the college was taken over by the government and the hospital was established within the college premises. The Ayurvedic college started offering post graduate course in 1972. NPA Government Ayurvedic College is spread over 90.30 acres of land and is finely dispersed between residential and non residential areas.
