West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (also known as WBNJUS or NJUS) is located in Kolkata, the City of Joy. It was established under the WBNUJS Act, 1999 (West Bengal Act IX of 1999) adopted by the West Bengal Legislature in July, 1999. NUJS was notified under Clause (f) of Section 2 of the UGC Act, 1956 in August 2004, and has been granted permanent affiliation by the Bar Council of India, in July 2005. The institute was set up to impart experience based learning under multi-disciplinary curriculum complimented with clinical method of teaching. The campus of the institute is spread over a land area of five acres, well equipped with all the modern facilities.

Eligibility:

Post Graduate Diploma:
Candidate must have bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University, with a minimum of five years of corporate experience.

Post Graduate:
Candidate must have a LLB degree from a recognized University, with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate.

Doctorate:
Candidate must have a Master’s degree in the relevant filed or Equivalent Examination from a recognized University.

Integrated:
Minimum qualification required is that candidate must have passed Higher Secondary / 10 +2 level of examination, from a recognized Board.
Admission Procedure:

Post Graduate:
Admission is done on the basis of candidate’s performance in Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) exam.

Entrance Test: CLAT Exam

Doctorate:
Admission is done on the basis of merit obtained by the candidate in the qualifying examination.
