Govt. College of Fine Arts Thrissur

Govt. College of Fine Arts, located in Thrissur district of Kerala, is a co-educational college, run by the Government of Kerala. The college was established in 1910 as Technical Commercial Industrial School under the Cochin Dynasty, to impart training on art and craft. The college changed its name on several occasions and finally after getting its affiliation from the University of Calicut in 1997, the college got its present name. Government College of Fine Arts offers undergraduate programs in three disciplines of fine arts - painting, sculpture, and applied art.

The college offers the following undergraduate courses:


Candidates who have passed their 10+2 level examination from Kerala State Examination Board, or its equivalent, in any discipline are eligible for the four-year BFA program offered here.
Admission Procedure:

Admission of the selected candidates is done on the basis of an aptitude test conducted by the college.
