Dr. Samuel George Institute of Engineering & Technology, located in Prakasam District of Andhra Pradesh, came into existence in 1997, with undergraduate courses in five disciplines, namely, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electronics & Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science & Engineering. Since its inception, the college is expanding itself. In 2008, it came up with two more courses, which include MCA and Bachelors in Information Technology. In 2009, Dr. Samuel George Institute of Engineering & Technology added M. Tech and MBA to its courses. The institute is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Kakinada and the courses offered by it are approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.

Minimum qualification for admission in the courses is 10+2 from a recognized Board in science streams with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects of study.

B.E / B. Tech in related subject is necessary from a recognized University.
MCA/MBA
Graduate in any discipline can apply. For MCA, study of mathematics is must at 10+2 level or at graduation level.
