Located in Kamrup district of Assam, Dakshin Guwahati B Ed College started functioning from temporary campus from Fatasil Ambari at NH-25, Guwahati. The college was established in 1993 with an objective of promoting educational development in the region by providing trained manpower to teaching profession. The college, which was initially functioning from a temporary site, had shifted to its permanent location at Segunbari, in 2004. Dakshin Guwahati B Ed College has been granted recognition by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). The college, spread over an area of 3 bigha land, is affiliated to Guwahati University. The college provides all the necessary facilities in its campus.
