BP Poddar Institute of Management & Technology

BP Poddar Institute of Management & Technology is one of the prestigious institutes of management and technology in Kolkata, West Bengal. The college was established in 1999, in the memory of Shri BP Poddar (1920-1981), a great philanthropist and educationist and founder of the Podder Group. It was founded under the sponsorship of BP Poddar Foundation for Education, which is a Trust that works for the dissemination of quality technical education in India. BP Poddar Institute of Management & Technology is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, and is affiliated to West Bengal University of Technology.

The candidates must have passed their Higher Secondary Examination of the Council of Higher Secondary Education, West Bengal or any equivalent examination, from a recognized Board/University.

BBA
Applicants must be through their Higher Secondary Examination of the Council of Higher Secondary Education, West Bengal or any equivalent examination from a recognized board/university.

BCA
The candidates must have passed their Higher Secondary Examination of the Council of Higher Secondary Education, West Bengal or any equivalent examination, from a recognized Board/University.

Post Graduate:
Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree, from a recognized university.

Doctorate:
Candidates must have a Masters degree, from a recognized university, in the relevant field.

Undergraduate:
B Tech
Admission is done through West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WB JEE) conducted by the West Bengal Board of Examination and All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE).

BBA/ BCA
Admission is done through Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT). Candidates are also admitted on the basis of the recommendations by WBUT.

Entrance Test: WBJEE, AIEEE Exam

Post Graduate:
Admissions are done through Joint Entrance Examination for Computer Application (JECA) conducted by West Bengal Board of JEE. Admissions are based on the recommendations made by the Central Selection Committee.
