Bhim Rao Ambedkar College, popularly referred to as B R Ambedkar College, is a constituent part of Delhi University and offers several courses at different levels.

Bhim Rao Ambedkar College,popularly known asB R Ambedkar College, is a constituent college of University of Delhi. The co-educational college was established in 1991 on the occasion of the Birth centenary of Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar. Working under the sponsorship of Government of Delhi, the college, since its inception, is dedicated to impart quality education to its students. Apart from providing academic knowledge, Bhim Rao Ambedkar College also encourages its students to participate in extra curricular activities. At present, B R Ambedkar College - one of the renowned arts and commerce colleges of DU - offers 11 courses in arts and commerce disciplines. Besides offering conventional courses, it has recently started English Language Proficiency, Forensic Science and Computer course.

Eligibility:

Undergraduate:
B.A (Hons) Geography/ Applied Psychology
Candidates, with minimum 40% aggregate marks in one language and three best elective subjects of 10+2 of the CBSE New Delhi or Pre-university examination of an Indian University recognized by the University of Delhi, are eligible.

B.A. (Hons.) Business Economics
Candidates with pass in 10+2 of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi or any other examination recognized as equivalent with a minimum 55% aggregate marks in four subjects (English, Mathematics and two Elective Subjects). Relaxation of 5% is there for SC/ST and CW reserved categories candidates.

B.A. (Hons.) Social Work
Candidates with minimum 55% aggregate marks or above in the 10+2 or equivalent examination or qualifying examinations are eligible.

B.A. (Hons) Hindi Journalism
A pass in 10+2 of CBSE or equivalent with minimum 55% aggregate marks is required.

B. Com (Hons)
Candidates are required to score minimum 45% aggregate marks in 10+2 of the CBSE New Delhi or Pre-university examination of an Indian University recognized by the University of Delhi, with one language and three best elective subjects.

B. Com (Pass)
Candidates should have done 10+2 from a recognized Board.
Admission Procedure:

Undergraduate:
B.A. (Hons) Business Economics
Selection depends on the candidate’s scores in common admission test conducted by the Department of Business Economics South Campus, University of Delhi.

B.A. (Hons) Social Work
Candidates are selected as per their scores in qualifying examination, Entrance Test and interview to be conducted by the college. Weight age is given in the ratio of 40:50:10, respectively.

B.A. (Hons) Hindi Journalism
Admission is based on the scores of the candidate in the Centralized Entrance Test, conducted by Delhi University.

B.A (Hons)/ (Pass) / B. Com. (Hons) / (Pass)
Admissions are based on the merit of candidates in the qualifying examination. For B.A (Hons) Applied Psychology, performance in interview conducted by the college is also considered.
