Located 2 km away from Barpeta town of Assam, Barpeta B.T College is the only college of education in the district head quarters. The college, established on 28th July 1985, offers Bachelor of Education programme for secondary level teaching and was set up with an objective of promoting educational development in the region, by providing trained manpower to the noble profession of teaching. Barpeta B.T College is approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), New Delhi. The college, spread over an area of 38,600 sq mt, with a total built up area of 700 sq mt, is affiliated to Guwahati University. Barpeta B.T College provides all the basic facilities to its students.
