Syllabus for EAMCET Exam



EAMCET Exam, which is also known as Engineering, Agriculture and Medicine Common Entrance Test, is conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad, under the guidance of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE). The entrance is conducted for the admission into undergraduate courses in various streams of engineering and medical sciences, which are offered in government/private colleges in Andhra Pradesh.
 
Syllabus
Engineering, Agriculture and Medicine Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) is based on the syllabus of Higher Secondary Certificate Examination (10+2) or intermediate examination or its equivalent, which is conducted by Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh. The students have to prepare different syllabus for the medical and engineering streams of the competitive entrance test.
 
Syllabus for Engineering Stream
The students have to practice Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics of Higher Secondary Level:
 
Mathematics
The topics are Algebra, Trigonometry, Vector Algebra, Probability, Coordinate Geometry, and Calculus.
 
Physics
Units and dimensions, elements of vectors, kinematics, dynamics, collisions and center of mass, friction, gravitation, simple harmonic motion, elasticity, surface tension, fluid mechanics, temperature and thermal expansion of solids, liquids and gases, thermo dynamics, transmission of heat, semi-conductor devices and communication systems, nuclear physics, atomic physics etc.
 
Chemistry
Atomic structure, classification of elements and periodicity in properties, chemical bonding and molecular structure, stoichiometry, states of matter, solutions, electro chemistry, chemical kinetics, thermodynamics hydrogen and its compounds etc.
 
Syllabus for Medical Stream
The questions are based on the syllabus of Higher Secondary Level examination, which consists of Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology).
 
Botany
The topics are introduction, external morphology, reproduction in angiosperms, plant taxonomy, cell biology, internal organization of plants, plant ecology, microbiology, plant physiology etc.
 
Zoology
Basics, locomotion and reproduction in protozoa, animal organization, phylum annelida, animal associations, general characters and classification of invertebrate phyla up to the level of classes, man and biosphere, phylum chordata, functional anatomy of rabbit etc.
 
Physics
Units and dimensions, elements of vectors, kinematics, dynamics, collisions and center of mass, friction, rotatory motion, gravitation, elasticity, surface tension etc.
 
Chemistry
Atomic structure, classification of elements and periodicity in properties, chemical bonding and molecular structure, stoichiometry, states of matter: gases, electro chemistry, solid state, chemical kinetics, thermodynamics etc.
