Eligibility for EAMCET Exam



Engineering, Agriculture and Medicine Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) is conducted for the admission into several undergraduate programs in engineering and medical sciences offered by government and private colleges in Andhra Pradesh. Every year, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad (JNTU), conducts the common entrance test on behalf of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE).
 
Eligibility
Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University has regulated different eligibility criteria for admission to various streams through EAMCET Exam. Only Indian nationals are allowed to appear in the entrance test and should fulfill all the local or non-local status requirements under Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) order, 1974. The eligibility criteria can be divided into two parts – Medical and Engineering.
 
Eligibility for Medical Stream
 
  • For B.VSc & A.H. / B.Sc (Ag) / B.Sc (Hort) / B.F.Sc. / B.Tech (FS&T) / B.Sc (CA&BM) courses, the candidates must have passed higher secondary certificate examination or intermediate examination or any other examination under 10+2 scheme from Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh or any recognized state/national Board. The students must have passed the qualifying examination with the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Mathematics.
  • For MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BHMS/BNYS Courses, the admission seekers need to have passed Intermediate Examination / Higher Secondary Examination or its equivalent with science subjects – Physics, Chemistry and Biology, from Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh any recognized Board.
 
Eligibility for Engineering Stream
 
For Engineering, B.Pharmacy (M.P.C), B.Tech (Dairying), B.Tech (Ag. Engineering), B.Tech (Food Science and Technology (FS&T)), B.Sc (Commercial Agriculture & Business Management (CA&BM) courses, the aspirants must have cleared Intermediate Examination under 10+2 scheme or its equivalent examination, from any recognized state/national Board. The candidates should have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as the main subjects of qualifying examination.
