DU CATE Exam, which is also referred to as Delhi University Common Aptitude Test for English, is conducted by Delhi University. The entrance test is conducted for enrolling students to its undergraduate level programme, that is, B.A. English (Honours). There are around 12 colleges affiliated to Delhi University, which accept the DU CATE Exam’s scores of the candidates.
In order to appear for the common aptitude test, the candidates have to fulfill all the eligibility prerequisites described by Delhi University.
- The candidates must have passed Higher Secondary Certificate Examination (10+2) or its equivalent, from any recognized state/national Board.
- The candidates are required to have passed the qualifying examination with not less than 60% marks in the subject of English.
- The candidates must have also obtained minimum of 60% marks in aggregate, in the best of four subjects.
- Candidates waiting for results of class 12th examination are also eligible to apply for this programme.
