Rajasthan Ayurved University, is the first Ayurveda University of Rajasthan and the second University of its kind in India. It is located in the Jodhpur city of Rajasthan. The university has established several constituent colleges (Ayurveda college), DAN & P training centers and herbal farming centers for promotion of education regarding Ayurvedic medicines in Rajasthan. The University is nestled on a vast campus stretching over several acres at Kadwad on Jodhpur-Nagaur Highway.
Educational Streams
Rajasthan Ayurveda University offers education in the field of Ayurvedic medicines and allied fields. The University has affiliated more than 40 colleges/institutes of Ayurveda, Unani and Homeopathy under it. The university also conducts Joint Entrance Test at National level / State level for admission to its degree programs.
Degree courses offered by RAU Jodhpur include Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS), Bachelor of Homeopathy Medicine and Surgery (BHMS), Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (BUMS), B Pharma (Ayurveda) and Bachelor of Naturopathy & Yoga Science (BNYS). Postgraduate courses such as MD (Ayurveda) / MS (Ayurveda) and MD (Homeopathy) are also available at the University. Besides these UG and PG courses, the university also conducts some diploma courses viz. Ayush Nursing and Pharmacy (DAN & P), Diploma in Herbal Farming, Ayurveda for Medical Students and Ayurveda for foreigners. Apart from all the above mentioned courses it conducts some special courses like Ayurveda Course for Allopathic Doctors, Panch Karma Technician Course and some certificate courses as well including Certificate Course in Ksharsutra, Panch Karma and Yoga & Naturopathy.

History
Rajasthan Ayurved University was established on 24th May, 2003 in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The University was established with the objective of promoting medical education in the state related to Ayurveda, Unani, and Homeopathy streams.
Dr S R Rajasthan Ayurved University (DSRRAU), Jodhpur, Rajasthan, has issued the notification for Post Graduate Entrance Test 2012, also known as PGET.
