KIIT University

KIIT University or Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology University, Bhubaneswar, was incepted in 1997. It is approved by All India Council for Technical Education, AICTE, and has acquired university status granted by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India. On account of its outstanding performance in education and training, it has entered the Limca Book of Records as the youngest University in the country. 
 
Educational Streams
The academic programs at KIIT are approved by statutory bodies of the Government of India such as All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Medical Council of India (MCI), Dental Council of India (DCI) and Bar Council of India (BCI) as applicable. Several of its programs have been accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA) and National Accreditation and Assessment Council (NAAC) of the University Grant Commission (UGC). B Tech / M Tech / Research program in Technology/Biotechnology/, BCA / MCA / BBA / MBA, and education is also offered in Rural Management and Law. Appreciating the need of present time, KITT has started education in Mass Communication, Design, Film Studies and Sculpture. Admissions are made through entrance examinations only.
 
Facilities
Learners at KIIT University enjoy of full residential facilities. Separate hostels to both girl and boys students, Ultra Modern Hospital, Gym & Health Club, Indoor Stadium, Largest Outdoor stadium in the state, Transportation, Banking etc are the common facilities at KIIT Bhubaneswar. History
Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) has fast emerged as a centre of excellence in the field of professional education in India. It was started in 1992 as a nondescript industrial training institute functioning from a rented building with only 12 students and two faculties.
