Karunya University is located in Coimbatore, the second largest city of Tamil Nadu. It is a deemed university, functioning mainly as an engineering and technological institute. It is a co-educational and fully residential university that has earned ‘A’ grade from National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). Spread over an area of 700 acres of land, the university is located in a peaceful environment, 25 kms away from Coimbatore, and is rich in the matter of greenery and sight seeing locations, which it is surrounded with. Karunya University has one of the most beautiful campuses in India. Apart from being an educational institute, the university is engaged in social welfare through its Karunya Centre for Rural Development. For the overall development of its students, it has a department of Physical Education as well. Karunya University Coimbatore has a very well developed wing for research programmes.
