JRN Rajasthan Vidyapeeth University

Established in 1937, Janardan Rai Nagar Rajasthan Vidyapeeth University (JRNRVU) at Udaipur is one of the premier distance learning centers in the state of Rajasthan. It has been approved by Distance Education Council, DEC, New Delhi. National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has graded it with B++ grade.  Recognized by the University Grant Commission (UGC), it got the status of a deemed university in 1987 because of its outstanding performance in education.

The university offers Certificate/ Diploma/ Bachelors and Masters courses. Degree and Post Degree courses are semester based. The university spread its wings of education in the country steadily. It has entered into the area of international studies through academic exchange of its students and faculty with foreign universities. This is a step forward to the academic excellence and providing opportunity to the students and teachers of Rajasthan Vidyapeeth. 

The university has three-tier system of evaluation and offers backlog facility so that every aspirant could complete his/her desire of higher education. Open University System (OUS) is available for the students of BA and B Com programs. Under this scheme, the students who wish to seek admission in these programs but do not have the formal educational qualification, can pass a preparatory course to get admission for the above degrees. 

Students who do not complete the minimum qualifications in respect to Mathematics or Biology in 10+2 level or Graduation level can avail of Bridge Course System. Bridge Courses are offered in the form of Certificate Programs in Maths (CPM) for 6 months and Certificate Program in Biology (CPB) for 6 months. The university is the hub of extension / action oriented researches and is paving the way for other educational institutes and universities of the state.

Janardan Rai Nagar Rajasthan Vidyapeeth University was founded by Late Pt. Janardan Rai in 1937. The Government of India granted it the status of Deemed-to-be-university in 1987. It became a leading non-government organization during the course of its journey. Founder Pandit Janardan Rai Nagar renamed it as Rajasthan Vidyapeeth.
