Anand Agricultural University

Anand Agricultural University was established in 2004 as a teaching and affiliating University for imparting education in agriculture and allied sciences by an Act passed by Gujarat legislature. AAU Anand conducts teaching, research and extension training. Jurisdiction of the university is spread over the districts of Anand, Ahmedabad, Kheda, Vadodara, Panchmahal and Dahod.

 

Undergraduate and postgraduate courses are conducted in Agriculture, Veterinary, and Dairy Science. MBA is also offered in International Agribusiness at the university. Other courses conducted are Agricultural Information Technology, Food Processing Technology and Agricultural Engineering & Technology. Diploma/Certificate Coursers are conducted in the fields of Agriculture, Home Science, Poultry, Bakery, Mali. 

Polytechnic level education is available in Agriculture and Agricultural Engineering. Extension education is also accorded by the university. As for research work, it is carried out at 16 research stations spread over six districts of Gujarat as well as the main campus.

 

Dr Maganbhai Dahyabhai Patel library is the part of Regional Library Consortium project of ICAR. It is a digitized, automated and modern cyberary. The library is open to the readers through the working hours and also on regular institutional holidays.

 

Anand Agricultural University was established by the Gujarat Act No. 5 of 2004 passed by Gujarat Legislature. The University was incorporated as a teaching and affiliating University for imparting education in agriculture and allied sciences.
