Vel's Srinivasa College of Engineering and Technology, located at a wide-spread area of 26.6 acres of land at Thalambur in Tamil Nadu, started its first academic session in 2001-2002. The self-financing technical institution is a part of Vel's Group of Institutions Pallavaram, Chennai. It is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai, to conduct several undergraduate engineering courses along with post graduate program in computer application and business administration. Vel's Srinivasa College of Engineering and Technology has gained the approval of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. The academy works under the guidance of Sri Balaji Charitable and Educational Trust.

The candidates, who have passed their 10+2 examination with the average of total marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as prescribed by Anna University, are eligible to apply. The percentage of required aggregate marks varies from category to category – it is 55% for OC, 50% for BC, 45% for MBC and for candidates belonging to SC / ST, only pass in the qualifying examinations is enough. Diploma holders (for Lateral Entry) should also secure the above mentioned marks in the program.
Post Graduate:

The candidate should have studied Mathematics at 10+2 level along with any one of the following - Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Oriented subject as one of the subjects at the degree level.
