The teacher training institute is recognized by General Education Department, Government of Kerala. Valummel Teacher Training Institute Wayanad offers teacher training programme at the undergraduate level - Teacher Training Certificate (TTC). The two-year full time programme of the institute is approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).
