Institute of Shipbuilding Technology, in Goa, is an ISO 9001:2000 certified institution. Established in 1981, it is managed and run by Society for Industrial & Technical Education. The institute is accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA). Institute of Shipbuilding Technology is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. The institute imparts courses in engineering and technology at the diploma level. It is a government aided institute, as it receives from Government of Goa under the Grant-in-aid pattern.
