Burdwan Medical College, which is located in Burdwan (West Bengal), is a recognized government college. Established in 1969 by the University of Burdwan, the college was taken over by the Government of West Bengal on August 4, 1976, and then renamed as Burdwan Medical College. Currently, the college is affiliated to West Bengal University of Health Sciences and approved by the Medical Council of India (MCI), Government of India and Government of West Bengal. Burdwan Medical College offers admission to students to undergraduate course in the field of medical sciences - Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). The course is a five-and-half-year program. Burdwan Medical College provides state-of-the-art facilities to its students.
