Navsari Agricultural University

Navsari Agricultural University offers higher education in the fields of Agriculture, Forestry, Horticulture and Fisheries. Ever since its inception, NAU Navsari is catering to the educational needs of the farmers of the plantation crops scattered in the region. Before being accredited as a public University, Navsari Agricultural University was a part of the Gujarat Agricultural University.
Educational Streams
Navsari Agricultural University offers various courses at graduate, post-graduate and PhD levels. The University strives to provide technical knowledge in farmers. Several research centers have been set up in different areas. Research is also conducted in the swathes of land within its campus. Extension education program is also run by the university. 

The university has recently introduced Diploma/Certificate courses in Agriculture, Horticulture, Livestock, Bakery and Mali. Assessment and refinement of the agricultural technology is done through on-farm trials and demonstration. The University has entered into agreements with several other institutes to ensure maximum possible exposure for its students.
Campus library caters to the needs of the students and faculties. The university library has collection of approximate 3 lakh books on variety of subjects related to agriculture. The collection includes books, theses, journals, reprints, maps, etc. Various laboratories at the university enable students in conducting research and training.
Navsari Agricultural University gained the status of an agricultural university with effect from May 1, 2004. Till this time it used to be a part of Gujarat Agricultural University. It was started as a college of agriculture.
