DUMET

The Delhi University Medical-Dental Entrance Test (DUMET) is conducted to select candidates for admissions to MBBS and BDS courses in Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC), Lady Hardinge Medical College, and University College of Medical Studies (UCMS). There are 410 seats in MBBS and 20 seats in BDS.

Eligibility

Educational Qualification: The candidates must have passed 12th class examination under 10+2 system with required subjects, i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English from a recognised school conducting regular classes and situated within the National Capital Territory of Delhi. The candidates must have passed in the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks (40% marks for candidates belonging to SC/ST category) taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The candidates must have studied 11th and 12th classes regularly from a recognised school situated within the National Capital Territory of Delhi.

Female candidates belonging to Schedule Caste (SC) /Schedule Tribe (ST)/Children, Widows & Wives of Armed & Para Military Personnel (CWWAPP) category who have passed qualifying examination from Indian Boards/Universities or Foreign Boards/Universities may also apply for admission to Lady Harding Medical College. The condition of studying 11th and 12th class from a school situated with the National Capital Territory of Delhi shall not be applicable to these candidates.

Examination Pattern

The Common Entrance Exam (CEE) for admission to medical colleges in Delhi consists of two papers. Paper 1 has questions from Physics and Chemistry and Paper 2 has questions from Zoology and Botany. Both the papers are of 600 marks each. The duration of each paper is two and half hours and questions are multiple-choice type.
