Nirma Institute of Management Ahmedabad

Nirma Institute of Management is one of the top management institutes of India. The institute was established in 1996 and within a short span of time it has built a strong reputation for itself. Nirma Institute of Management has changed its name and is now known as 'The Institute of Management'. It is a constituent of the distinguished Nirma University of Science and Technology and is recognized by the University Grants Commission.

Various academic courses offered by Nirma Institute of Management are:

Master of Business Administration (MBA) Full Time: This is a two-year full-time residential programme. The programme offers specialization in Marketing, Finance, Human Resource Management, International Business, Operations Management and Information Technology. The Programme is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the students graduating from this programme are awarded the MBA (Master of Business Administration) degree. Candidates seeking admission to the programme must have a Bachelor's degree with at least 50% aggregate marks. Applicants for the full-time programme have to appear for the Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by the IIMs. Candidates shortlisted on the basis of CAT are called for a group discussion and personal interview. Final selection is made on the basis of the candidate's performance in the written test, group discussion, personal interview and work experience.

Master of Business Administration (MBA) Part Time: This is a three-year programme designed specially for working executives and entrepreneurs. The Programme is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the students graduating from this programme are awarded the MBA (Master of Business Administration) degree. Candidates seeking admission to the programme must have a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of two years of work experience at managerial level. The applicants are required to appear for the written test to be conducted by the Institute of Management at Ahmedabad. Shortlisted candidates are called for the interview and final selection is made on the basis of performance in the written test and interview.

Master of Business Administration (Family Business and Entrepreneurship): This is a two-year full-time, residential programme and aims to equip young people with modern management knowledge and skills, family business management techniques and an entrepreneurship approach. Candidates seeking admission to the programme must be graduates and have to produce a certificate from their parents or in-laws that the applicant is in family business and will join his/her family business after the completion of the programme. The applicants are required to appear for the written test to be conducted by the Institute of Management at Ahmedabad. Shortlisted candidates are called for the interview and group discussion. Final selection is made on the basis of performance in the written test, group discussion and personal interview.

Besides the above programmes the institute also conducts Ph. D. programmes and Executive Development Programmes.
