OPENMAT (OPEN Management Admission Test)
OPENMAT is conducted by Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU)
for admission to its management programs. OPENMAT examination is held
twice a year in the month of February and August.
Management Programs offered by IGNOU are:
- Master of Business Administration (2.5 years)
- Post Graduate Diploma in Management (1.5 year)
- Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management (1 year)
- Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Management (1 year)
- Post Graduate Diploma in Operations Management (1 year)
- Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management (1 year)
- Diploma in Management (1 year)
Eligibility for OPENMAT: For all the courses
other than Diploma in Management, a candidate must have a Bachelors'
Degree + 3 yrs. Supervisory / managerial experience; OR any Professional
Degree; OR a Master's Degree in any subject. For Diploma in Management,
non-graduates with 6 years of supervisory / managerial experience are
also eligible.
Test Pattern: The duration of the test is three hours. The test
comprises 200 objective type multiple choice questions of 1mark each.
The test is divided into four sections: General Awareness (30 marks),
English Language (50 marks), Quantitative Aptitude (50 marks), and
Reasoning (70 marks).
