Faculty of Law, University of Delhi

Faculty of Law, University of Delhi is one of the finest law departments in the world, and is widely regarded as Asia's premier institution. The Faculty of Law was established in 1924 and was initially housed in the Prince's Pavilion in the Old Vice regal Lodge Grounds. In 1963, the faculty moved to its present location at the Chhatra Marg, University of Delhi.

Programs offered by Faculty of Law, Delhi University

1. L.L.B.: The University conducts Entrance Tests at Delhi for admission to first year of LL.B. (Three-year Course).

Eligibility: General Candidates Graduate/Post-Graduate Degree with 50% marks. SC/ST Candidates Graduate/Post-Graduate Degree with Pass marks. CW/PH Graduate/Post-Graduate Degree with 45% marks.

2. L.L.M.: The course duration is two years and the admissions are made on the basis of an entrance exam.

Eligibility: General Candidates LL.B. Degree with 50% marks. SC/ST/PH/CW Candidates LL.B. Degree with 45% marks.

SC = Scheduled Caste,
ST = Scheduled Tribe
PH = Physically Handicapped
CW = Children/widows/wives of the officers and men of the armed forces including paramilitary personnel killed/disabled in action or those who died/ were disabled on duty.

Besides above courses Faculty of Law, Delhi University also offers Master of Civil Law (M.C.L.), Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.), and Doctor of Civil Laws (D.C.L.).
