Thangal Kunju Musaliar Institute of Technology, popularly known as TKM Institute of Technology, is located in Kollam, Kerala. The college, which was set up in 2002, is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. TKM Institute of Technology Kollam is affiliated to the Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT). The college is governed and run by TKM College Trust. The institute offers undergraduate level programme in the field of engineering - Bachelor of Technology (B Tech). Candidates who have passed the plus-two examination of Kerala Higher Secondary Board or its equivalent with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects or any other examination accepted as equivalent thereto, obtaining a minimum of 50% marks in Mathematics and 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together can apply. Candidates with a Diploma in Engineering securing a minimum of 50% marks are eligible for admission. Concession to SC/ST and other eligible communities is allowed.
Half of the seats are filled by the Controller of Entrance Examinations based on the marks secured at the Common Entrance Test. Onus of filling rest of the seats is with the management. These are filled on the basis of marks obtained by the candidate at the qualifying examination, marks attained by the candidate at the Common Entrance Test conducted by the Controller of Entrance Examinations and performance of the candidate at the interview.
