Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT) Surat is a government engineering college conducting several courses on various fields of Engineering and Technology. The institution (originally known as Sardar Vallabhbhai Regional Engineering College Surat) was established in 1961 as a joint venture of the Government of India and the Government of Gujarat. In 2002, SVREC Surat attained full autonomy in its academics as it was accorded the status of a deemed to be University by the Government and renamed as National Institute of Technology.

Eligibility:
Undergraduate:BE / B Tech / UG / Undergraduate: One should have cleared Higher Secondary or 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with at least 50% marks for admission in BE / B Tech courses.
Post Graduate:ME / M Tech / PG / Postgraduate
The applicant should have minimum 60% marks in the BE / BTech or equivalent examination (55% for SC/ST category) in the respective branch of Engineering.
Doctorate:PhD / Doctorate / Research:
Students should have passed ME / M Tech in relevant discipline with at least 60 percent marks in aggregate.
