Sri Guru Ram Das Institute of Dental Sciences & Research, which came into being in 1992, is located in Amritsar, Punjab. SGRD Dental College Amritsar was established by Shiromani Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee's 'Sri Guru Ram Das Charitable Hospital Trust'. The college is affiliated to Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot and approved by the Dental Council of India (DCI) and Government of India.
Guru Ram Das Institute of Dental Sciences & Research imparts courses in Dental sciences, at both undergraduate (BDS) and postgraduate (MDS) levels. The college enrolls as many as 60 students to the BDS course. It has several modern facilities, including library, hostels, lecture halls and state-of-the-art equipments.

The selection of the candidate is based on All India Competitive Test for Sikh candidates. For other candidates, PMET is conducted by the University.
