Sohan Lal D.A.V. College of Education is one of the oldest educational colleges in the region, as it was established in 1939. At the time of its establishment, it was located in Lahore (Pakistan), but after the partition of the country, the college was re-established in 1954 in Ambala district of Haryana. Sohan Lal D.A.V. College of Education is managed and run by DAV College Managing Committee, New Delhi.
 
Sohan Lal D.A.V. College of Education is affiliated to Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra and approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). The college offers undergraduate and postgraduate level programmes in teacher’s training - Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) and Master of Education (M. Ed). Sohan Lal DAV College of Education is fully equipped with state-of-the-art facilities for its students.
