Minimum requirement is a pass in (10+2) or any other equivalent examination with English as one of the subjects and with 45% (40% for reserved category) of aggregate marks in Physics, Mathematics and one of the subjects of Chemistry / Biology / Computer Science / Electronics / Biotechnology.
Post Graduate:
M Tech
Candidates need to have a technical degree BE/B Tech from VTU or equivalent in the relevant discipline to secure admission.
MBA
Admission to MBA courses is open for the candidates who have passed the Bachelors degree examinations with not less than 50% of the marks in the aggregate of all the years of the degree examinations.
MCA: For admission to MCA the candidates should have passed Bachelors degree with not less than 50% of marks with Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Science / Computer Programming / Computer Applications / Business Mathematics / Business Statistics as one of the optional or electives at Degree Level.
Doctorate:
Applicant should hold a masters' degree ME/M Tech in the relevant field or engineering to pursue PhD.

Admissions to BE are done on the basis of performance in COMED-K or KCET or AIEEE. COMED-K conducts separate entrance test for seats under management quota. This quota is available for candidates from Karnataka and Non-Karnataka category.
