Silicon Institute of Technology is located in Bhubaneswar, Orissa. The college came into existence, with the objective of producing high caliber technical professionals. The institute is affiliated to Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Rourkela. With the approval of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, it conducts undergraduate courses in various disciplines along with post graduate course in computer applications. Silicon Institute of Technology boasts of providing state-of-the-art facilities, which facilitates better learning among the aspirants. The autonomous technical institute is managed by Silicon Institute of Technology Trust. It also conducts ten days short-term technical courses.

The candidate should have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination from a recognized institute in Science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as major subjects.
For Lateral entry- the applicants, who have passed diploma in related subject with 60% marks are eligible.
Post Graduate:
The applicants should have passed graduation (B.A, B.Com and B.Sc) with Mathematics or Statistics as a major subject in the last two years of schooling.

Admissions are done on the basis of merit in Joint Entrance Exam (OJEE) conducted by Biju Patnaik University Technology, All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) conducted by CBSE and Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) conducted by Orissa Private Engineering College Association (OPECA).
Admissions to second year of B Tech are done on the basis of J.E.E conducted separately for Lateral Entry, by Biju Patnaik University Technology.

Post Graduate:
