SCMS School of Engineering and Technology (SSET) is located in Ernakulam, Kerala. It was set up in 2001 to conduct technical courses. The institute is the largest engineering college under the self- financing scheme of Kerala Government. The college is affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. The courses offered by the college are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, AICTE, New Delhi. It conducts undergraduate and postgradaute level programmes in the field of engineering - B Tech and M Tech. Eligibility:
Undergraduate:
Candidates must have done their Intermediate with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects. Diploma holders of engineering can also apply.
Post Graduate:
B.Tech./B.E. with minimum of 55% marks are eligible to apply. Non-GATE candidates are also eligible. Students having GATE score get preference over others.
For MCA the candidates must be a graduate with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects.

Undergraduate:
Admissions are accorded depending on the rank obtained in the Entrance Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, the Government of Kerala. A section of Diploma holders get admission to the second year of the Degree courses as Lateral Entry.

Post Graduate:
Students are admitted on the basis of GATE score. However, if the seats are vacant, non GATE candidates are also admitted.
For MCA students are admitted on the basis of state level Entrance Examination.
