The college is affiliated to Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Rourkela and has gained the approval of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. With the motive to produce qualified technical personnel, Samanta Chandrasekhar Institute of Technology & Management is offering full-time, four-year undergraduate courses in engineering along with Diploma courses of three years. 70% Admissions are done on the basis of Orissa-JEE conducted by Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Rourkela. 20% of seats are filled through AIEEE, an all India entrance examination, while 10% seats are reserved under Management Quota.
